We did
The Council's new Domestic Abuse Policy, and the Easy Read version of the same Policy, was reviewed and adopted at an Executive meeting on 06 October 2025.

Following public consultation, the below feedback was considered and the following changes were made to the Policy document before it was submitted for adoption:
- Link to Citizens' Advice Bureau included in Appendix B (Service Information).
- Easy Read version for the Policy amended to provide bullet-pointed lists as well as clear, concise and easy to understand language.
- Addition of references to stalking and harassment in several sections.
- Addition of information for perpetrators who wish to move forward to create healthier relationships.
- Addition of Domestic Abuse Advisor role in Housing.
- Clarification on pathway for supporting professionals who have concerns about a child or young person.
- Lessons incorporated from Hampshire Safeguarding Adults Board (SAR).
- Clarification added on Multi-Agency Working Conference (MARAC) and working with other partners.
- Addition outlining commitment to raising awareness, creating positive change, challenging attitudes and collaborative working.
- Addition of contact details for Council's out-of-hours service.
