As an affordable housing provider and service, Fareham Borough Council’s Affordable Housing Strategy sets out how we will provide more of the right affordable housing in the right place.
This means more than just building homes in a specific location. It is about matching people and their families to the right home that meets their individual needs.
We would like your feedback to make sure the Strategy is clear, easy to understand and reflects what matters most to our communities.

A consultation took place between 16 February 21026 and 26 March 2026. During the consultation, there were twenty-one consultation responses received.
You said the document is accessible and easy to understand. The results show an oversall support for the aims of the Affordable Housing Strategy.

- 33% of respondents said afte reading the Strategy the Councils purpose and priorities of the Affordable Housing Strategy is mostly easy to understand
- 40% of respondents said that the information provided about shared ownership was mostly easy to understand
We did
At its meeting on 6 July 2026, the Executive approved the adoption of the Affordable Housing Strategy.
