From 15 May to 10 June, we carried out a consultation on two proposed designs for the Stubbington and Wicor skate parks. The Let's Talk Fareham Facebook group actively promoted both the consultation and engagement events, helping to reach a wide audience.
Overall, this was a highly successful campaign, with 520 residents voting for their preferred design. The consultation included a mix of pop-up events, in-person engagement sessions, and online participation opportunities. Fareham College also supported the process by hosting voting boxes on site.

The design was then further refined following feedback from Declan Brooks Olympic BMX Bronze Medallist, and Noah Tiller Portsmouth based professional scooter rider ranked among the world's top 20 riders. Their input helped shape elements of the skate park to ensure it provides an enjoyable and challenging facility for a wide range of users.
Work on the new skate park is due to begin shortly.
