We are asking
Fareham Borough Council's 2023 Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for dog control, grants authorised officers powers to issue fixed penalty notices to dog owners,who fail to clean up mess or whose dogs are off-lead in certain areas in the borough.
The current Dog Control PSPO expires in July 2026 and we would like your views on proposals to renew this for a further 3 years.

You said
A consultation ran for 4 weeks from 2 February to 2 March 2026 and received 333 responses from an online survey. Responses showed strong support to renew the Dog Control PSPO, although concerns were raised regarding unclear and inconsistent signage in some areas.
We did
Following the consultation, it was agreed by the Council Executive Committee that the Dog Control PSPO will be extended. The Community Safety Manager confirmed that all signage will be reviewed as part of the wider work to update the PSPO.
