A consultation ran for 4 weeks from 2 February to 2 March 2026 and received 333 responses from an online survey. Responses showed strong support to renew the Dog Control PSPO, although concerns were raised regarding unclear and inconsistent signage in some areas.

We did

Following the consultation, it was agreed by the Council Executive Committee that the Dog Control PSPO will be extended. The Community Safety Manager confirmed that all signage will be reviewed as part of the wider work to update the PSPO.
