We are asking
Fareham Borough Council would like to renew the existing Fareham Town Centre Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for a further 3 years.
The Town Centre Public Spaces Protection Order was introduced after listening to residents, visitors and local businesses, to prevent drug taking, drinking of alcohol and aggressive begging in the Town Centre and surrounding area.
The new proposal extends the existing PSPO with no amendments and will take effect from 30 January 2026 for a period of three years. It allows Council Officers the ability to confiscate alcohol and drug paraphernalia, to disperse individuals from a defined space, and issue fixed penalty notices for those failing to comply with the conditions of the PSPO.
We invite you to submit your comments using the survey linked, by 10 November 2025.
