We are asking
Fareham Borough Council is preparing a new Local Plan to guide how the borough develops over the coming years.
The new Local Plan will provide a clear vision for the borough and set out how Fareham can grow and change in a planned and sustainable way; help ensure that new homes, jobs, services, infrastructure and community facilities are delivered in the right places and at the right time; and protect the borough's environment and character.
As a first step, the Council is launching three consultations which we are inviting you to take part in:
- Local Plan Scoping Consultation to identify the issues, opportunities and priorities that matter most to local people and stakeholders.
- Draft Local Plan Engagement Strategy Consultation, which sets out how communities will be involved as the plan is prepared. Residents, businesses, community groups and other interested parties are encouraged to comment on the proposed approach and suggest how they would like to be consulted during future stages of the process.
- Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report. This report sets out what information we propose to use, what issues the assessment should consider, and how we will judge the possible effects of different Local Plan options.
Further information about the consultations, including how to take part, is available on the Council's Local Plan website: www.fareham.gov.uk/new_local_plan.
If you require assistance completing the consultation or require an alternative format, please contact us via:
